What do I need to do when I hire a DJ?
You just tell us the details of your event, what your musical preference is, and we’ll take it from there! We will help you plan your music and formalities and fully prepare ourselves to give you an unforgettable party. When we see your music list, we will have a general idea of your preference and style. In addition, we will have the experience required to also “read the crowd” on the spot. In other words, we find that perfect balance between following your music list and also making the necessary adjustments to pack as many guests onto your dance floor as possible. Will my DJ mix the music like they do in clubs?
ABSOLUTELY! In New York, that is how it is done! And we deliver the same quality in the Tampa Bay area. If you hire us, your dancefloor will not experience a succession of songs played in their entirety from start to finish… that is not DJ’ing. In our industry, we call that a “human jukebox”. You are not paying us to be an iPod! Will my DJ engage with the crowd?
YES! You are hiring us to not only play amazing music at your party, but also to be a personality at your party. Even simple formal announcements are done correctly (ie: the difference between “alright food is ready” and “family and friends at this time your dinner buffet is open, please help yourselves and enjoy!”. Professionalism on the microphone really makes a difference. In addition to announcements, your DJ will also enthusiastically acknowledge the occasion as well as conduct all event formalities if there is no separate MC working the event. For example, a Wedding DJ would announce the bridal party and bride and groom into the room while simultaneously playing music from behind the DJ booth, and then go into their first dance. Your DJ would then go into the rest of the program – including champagne toasts, dance sets, dinner, dedication dance(s), and all other applicable formalities. Please note: We go through your entire Wedding together from start to finish – every possible detail, starting from pre-ceremony music all the way to the grande finale song of the reception.
